Activate a License

Each installation of Value Navigator requires license activation with a product key. When you start Value Navigator for the first time after installation, the License Manager is displayed and you can enter the product key. If you don’t know your product key, contact your administrator or contact Value Navigator Support.

If you have an internet connection, you can enter the product key and activate your license. If you don’t have an internet connection, contact for assistance.

To enter the product key

  1. From the Help menu, select License Manager.
  2. Click Change Product Key.
  3. If… Do this…
    You are connected to the internet, Enter the new product key.
    You aren’t connected to the internet, Click Phone in the top right corner of the License Manager and phone Value Navigator Support.
  4. Click OK and Close.
Unless you have checked out a license, (see Work Offline) you must have an internet connection to acquire and retain a license each time you use Value Navigator. However, there is some allowance for an intermittent internet connection so you don’t lose your connection to the license due to a brief disconnection.
